Court One Athletic Clubs has been instrumental in nurturing tennis talent in mid-Michigan for over five decades. We’re passionate about providing a diverse range of tennis activities for both adults and young players, but especially sharing our knowledge and love for the game with our community!

We offer private and group lessons tailored to various ages and abilities. Adults can enjoy drop-in practice sessions and competitive travel teams. For younger players, our programs start with “quick start” tennis for children as young as five and extend to the “Knights” tournament training for those aiming for college-level play. Known as the hub of tennis in mid-Michigan, Court One is the premier destination for enhancing your tennis skills. Our state-of-the-art facilities feature 8 indoor cushioned-asphalt courts. Junior Tennis

Pre-K to Elementary School Pathway

Times have changed and so have the techniques for teaching tennis to children. Our Junior Development Program utilizes low compression balls, age-appropriate tennis racquets and scaled-down tennis courts, which accelerate learning. This progressive approach allows players to develop at their own rate. Every student is individually evaluated to insure he or she is having both fun and success while building sound fundamentals. Each of our tennis courts are equipped with permanent 10 and under tennis boundary lines so that our members and guests can work on their child’s development outside of class.

Middle School & High School Pathway

Junior Competitive programs focus on the development of proper strokes and skills necessary to excel in tennis competition. Game-based drills are utilized in teaching point situations and strategy. Court One instructors have played at every level of tennis; their attention to detail and love of the sport is a key ingredient in assisting our youngsters forward in the sport. Specific classes range from the young junior intermediate to the advanced high school varsity athlete.

Tournament Pathway

The Knights are Court One’s signature elite tournament players’ program! It is designed exclusivity for players who are or will be seeking Midwest or National rankings. Game-based drills and situations are utilized to enhance technical, tactical and psychological skills. Individual groups are offered at three different age / skill levels. Past players include top collegiate and professional athletes. All classes include physical conditioning. Professional approval is a requirement.
